The wine country abounds with beautiful architecture. Modern buildings that take on features of the landscape and Historical 300 year old Cape Dutch Architecture blend in amongst the vineyards. We will taste wine at each of the vineyards we visit

We start the day at the second oldest wine estate in South Africa VERGELEGEN (1700) where the Governor of the Cape Willem Adriaan Van Der Stel used his considerable influence to build a manor house that must rate as one of South Africa’s finest examples of Cape Dutch Architecture

WATERKLOOF is next on our list and the contrast could not be more dramatic! State of the art, Modern, Contemporary are some of the words that come to mind. The views add to the memorable experience. We will have lunch here.

DORNIER ESTATE with its modern cellar that was fashioned after the Stellenbosch mountains which form a back drop is a must . Our last Estate we visit today is MEERLUST, the Manor house was built in 1776 and many famous artists through the centuries have painted this masterpiece
