Willem knew everyone we visited by first name and doors opened everywhere. We tasted vintage port at Muratie and they let us into their library to taste older vintages. I wanted to buy some of their 1998 vintage port but we were off to Kruger the next day and I didn't want to haul it along. Willem arranged to have the case of win shipped from the winery to our hotel in Johannesburg, arriving within a few hours of our flight back to U.S. He tracked the package for more than a week to make sure it arrived at the right hotel on the right day at the right time. It never would have worked out without his continuous help. Amazing.

Their choice of accommodation and the luxury of a spacious combi added to the great experience. Eileen's knowledge of the different species of flowers was inspirational. No question went unanswered and her genuine enthusiasm a real bonus. Frequently we stopped amongst the beauty of the Cape flowers to rest and devour yet another wonderfully organised picnic.
