Willem knew everyone we visited by first name and doors opened everywhere. We tasted vintage port at Muratie and they let us into their library to taste older vintages. I wanted to buy some of their 1998 vintage port but we were off to Kruger the next day and I didn't want to haul it along. Willem arranged to have the case of win shipped from the winery to our hotel in Johannesburg, arriving within a few hours of our flight back to U.S. He tracked the package for more than a week to make sure it arrived at the right hotel on the right day at the right time. It never would have worked out without his continuous help. Amazing.

Willem told us not only amazing South African wine but also gave us explanation on the reach South African culture. We visited 4 wine houses and had amazing lunch together. He was alsoso kind to write us an email with different tips on the next stops on our planning in South Africa which were very useful and gave us so much more that just reading about stuff on internet and searching online ... On the tour we were never forced to buy something but still ended up with 10 bottles 😉 few bottles will stay on our collection to remember this trip and amazing day <3 Would definitely repeat and go ones more on that tour!! very recommended and must do in Cape Town!!!!
