Franschhoek (Corner of France) is where approximately 200 French Huguenots settled in 1665 upon fleeing France after the declaration of The Edict of Nantes.

Their lasting legacy of the art of wine making and fine cuisine is still evident there to this day and it has become known as the gourmet capital of the Western Cape.

Varies daily and is tailored to include a combination of the following:

  • Wine tasting at 4 to 5 selected wineries with lunch for own account – 09h:30-17h:00
  • Cheese and/or Olive and/or Chocolate tasting
  • Cellar tour
  • Visit champagne styled wine producers
  • Visit the Victor Verster jail from which Nelson Mandela was released (long walk to freedom)
  • Visit French Huguenot museum
  • Vintage Motor Museum *
