We visit the famous Constantia Wine region, which nestles against the back of Table Mountain and from a historical perspective, this is where the first vineyard was established in South Africa by Simon Van Der Stel ( the governor of the Cape ) in 1685.
The day starts with a visit to STEENBERG VINEYARD, a modern contemporary example of a wine estate, lovely champagne and wines ,the order of the day in beautiful surroundings.
Next up, we visit GROOT CONSTANTIA VINEYARD, the first estate to be established in South Africa. Here, we visit the cellar for a guided tour before indulging in a chocolate and wine tasting, where five chocolates have been paired with five wines.
Lunch is at CONSTANTIA GLEN WINE ESTATE. Overlooking the Constatia Valley with magnificent views. Lunch is for your account
We end the day with a tasting at the CONSTANTIA GLEN VINEYARD.
If time permits, we will visit one other selected vineyard
