With its mild climate, wide range of leisure options, spectacular scenery and quaint towns this is an unforgettable holiday of a life time. Mountains that hug the coastline interspersed with beaches, bays and lakes, indigenous forests  full of bird life and giant trees, this is what awaits the traveller.
If I had to give you just 5 reasons why you should look no further than to book a tour to this magical region they would be:

    THE CANGO CAVES
Hewn out of Limestone and situated close to the town of Oudtshoorn ( the ostrich capital of the world )  a series of caverns and chambers invite you into this subterranean masterpiece with its vast halls and towering formations of Stalagmites and Stalactites. The Cango Caves – Africa’s largest show caves and one of the Seven Wonders of Southern Africa – are the archaeological and historical highlight of the Klein Karoo.

THE KNYSNA LAGOON (  pronounced “Nicena “)
The word Knysna is a Khoi word meaning “straight down “ and refers to the most striking geological feature along this stretch of coastline namely the two great sandstone cliffs guarding the mouth of the lagoon where the channel flows into the sea.
The lagoon is actually an estuary and is a haven for watersports where a sunset champagne and oyster cruise is a “must do“.

    TSITSIKAMMA NATIONAL PARK
“the place of much water “  stretches for 80km from the Bloukraans River in the West  to the Eerste River in the East and is boarded by the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountains on the North and by the Indian Ocean in the South.
Large tracts of indigenous forests are separated by deep river gorges that find their way down to the sea creating magnificent waterfalls and deep crevices. It is the 3rd most visited of South Africa’s National Parks and is a place of incredible natural beauty.

    ACTIVITIES!
Apart from eye popping scenery! there is a smorgasbord of activities  to keep you busy : Shark Cage Diving, Fishing, Sunset Cruises, Hiking, Bungee Jumping ( the highest in the world) Sky Diving, Tree Top Canopy Tours, Surfing, Sand boarding, Beach Horse Riding, Wine Tasting, Safari Game viewing ( Malaria free ) Ostrich Riding, Dolphin and Whale Watching ( in season ), Canoeing. Kayak and ……………..relaxing !

SAFARI / WILDLIFE / GAME RESERVES
The Eastern Cape is one of the few areas in South Africa where you can view the “big 5 “in a malaria free environment. With an outstanding selection of private concessions and award winning private game reserves and lodges that suit all pockets. Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and  Buffalo.
